A few years ago there was this campaign for the Empire State Building on cabs all over the city and it said “Take me to the ESB” with a picture of the Empire State Building behind it. After taking a minute to figure out what ESB stood for I loved it. I always envisioned myself quickly hailing a cab and saying to the driver “take me to the ESB” which I’m sure the driver would respond dumfoundedly ”Is that in brooklyn?”
Last night, after living in New York roughly 6.5 years, I went to the top of the Empire State Building! The day was cloudy and rainy but as the night came on the clouds cleared and we had a great view. (approximately 25 miles!) Because it was a Wednesday with a rainy morning there were no lines and we got right up! All the weaving and bobbing we did around barricades and red rope I can only image what it’s like on a clear saturday afternoon.. no thanks!
The views were actually way cooler then I expected. I’m so happy that I took those 86 flights up!
I can now officially highly suggest making the trip to the top!
Tonight I have practice for my flash mob I’m participating in on Friday! Get ready for a fun video!
